The midterm exam is officially scheduled for Tuesday, 5 July,
during regular class time.
The exam will consist of true/false, some basic proofs and
examples. You will be expected to know all definitions; you
may or may not be asked to state definitions precisely on
the exam.
To study for the exam you should review all examples,
constructions, and fundamental proofs. Keep in mind that the
exam period is only an hour and a quarter, so the exam will
not consist of any "long" or overly technical proofs. Focus on the
proofs and examples that illustrate specific fundamental
properties of the key objects of study.
Every question on the exam will have been discussed
together in class at some point in the past 4 weeks.

midterm (blank) and
solutions.
