Each black curve is a geodesic with initial
velocity in one of three directions, and with "lengths" varying from 0.05 to
1 in increments of 0.05. The envelope along the ends of the geodesics in
each group is the path of the exponential image of the ray from the origin
in the same direction.
That all these curves are distinct is a mark of the inhomogeneity of the defining spray. |
