Placement Exam

If you do not meet the requirements for enrolling directly into mathematics courses you can take our Placement Exam to find what course you can enroll in.

Scheduled placement exams are given throughout the year. Consult the WSU schedule of courses or this online .pdf file, or call 978-5924, for scheduled dates and times. Reservations are not necessary for the scheduled tests.

You may schedule special times with permission at the Westside Campus. Call the Math Department at 978-5230 or Westside Campus at 978-6777.

Bring the following:

my WSU ID card or Photo ID

(Your birth date will be required if you do not have a my WSU ID card)

Pencils (no pens, markers, etc.)

$4.00 cash (No Checks!)

The placement exam has a time limit of 1 hour and consists of 32 multiple choice questions. The exam will be graded before you leave.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early so all students can be checked in and begin the test on time.
