The talk addresses the anti-maximum principle for second order elliptic operators which was first discovered by Ph. Clement and L. A. Peletier. This interesting phenomenon occurs above the generalized principal eigenvalue, while the classical generalized maximum principle holds true below it.
Please join us for refreshments before the lecture at 2:30p.m. in room 353 Jabara Hall.
