"Equivariant Localization in Topological Quantum Field Theories"

Abstract:
We investigate results given by applying certain equivariant localization techniques on the path integrals of TQFTs in 3- and 4-dimensions. In particular, we derive Witten's conjectured formula relating Donaldson and Seiberg--Witten invariants. This approach does not use the theory of non-abelian monopoles, but works directly on the Donaldson--Witten and Seiberg--Witten moduli spaces.
