Nonlinear eigenvalue problems (joint work with Paul Newton of the University of Southern California)

We examine some nonlinear eigenvalue problems inspired by the nonlinear Schroedinger equation. We compute asymptotics of the eigenvalues. We also discuss a related inverse problem: How to recover the nonlinearity from the eigenvalues.
