The Twentieth Midwest Conference on Combinatorics, Cryptography and Computing (MCCCC) will be held at Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas, on October 5-7, 2006.

Wichita has one airport which is served by most major airlines. The airport is located on the west side of Wichita, whereas Wichita State University is located on the northeast side. The distance is about 12 miles. (Make note of this when deciding on a hotel. Unfortunately, there is no hotel close to campus. We will be providing a shuttle to and from campus at specified times from the hotels listed. There are hotels located closer to the airport but we are unable to provide transportation from them. Wichita is also served by Greyhound Bus Lines located in the heart of Wichita. For those driving, Wichita State University is surrounded by the streets: Oliver, 21st, Hillside, and 17th. The interstate I35 is nearly a mile to the west of WSU campus with an exit at 21st Street.

Set at the confluence of two rivers, Wichita (the largest city in Kansas with a population of over 350,000) has been an important site in the south central Kansas area since the days of the Santa Fe Trail. Wichita provides outstanding career opportunities in a variety of fields. Known as the "Air Capital of the World," Wichita is the home to Beech, Boeing, Cessna, and Learjet. Many other high tech companies including UNISYS, Vulcan Chemicals, Cargill, Safelite Corporation, IFR, Bank of America, Southwestern Bell, Electrotech, and Microtech are located in the Wichita area. In addition, Pizza Hut, Taco Tico, Koch Industries, Rent-A-Center, and Coleman are also major local employers with their corporate headquarters in Wichita. Pizza Hut started in Wichita. Art museums and exhibits; an excellent symphony orchestra; Historic Cowtown; Botanica Gardens; the Omnisphere Space Center; Lake Afton Public Observatory; Exploration Place, amusement and water fun parks; and an outstanding zoo provide entertainment and culture for persons of all ages.
